Plenet staff and steering group

In 2011, Plenet was incorporated into Law for Life: The Foundation for Public Legal Education. Plenet was run by the Advicenow project of Advice Services Alliance to provide a forum for discussion of public legal education. Advice Services Alliance is the coordinating body for independent advice services in the UK.

Plenet was supported by a Steering Group consisting of organisations involved in expanding the network and promoting awareness of public legal education in the UK. The Strategy Group championed the development of public legal education and promoted a better understanding of the value of PLE across Government and beyond. Many members of the Steering Group have now joined Law for Life as Patrons or Trustees.

Our sincere thanks are given to everyone who gave their time, support and friendship. This has been invaluable in helping us to understand and advance the role of public legal education and develop the concept of legal capability.
